The Rise of Millennials [Infographic]

Millennials, or the Millennial Generation, also known as Generation Y, are the demographic cohort following Generation X. Commentators use beginning birth years from the early 1980s to the early 2000s. [Source]

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that by 2015 millennials will overtake the majority representation of the workforce and by 2030 this hyper-connected, tech savvy generation will make up 75% of the workforce.

According to a study by the Pew Research Center, millennials outpace older Americans in virtually all types of internet and cell use. They are more likely to have their own social networking profiles, to connect to the internet wirelessly when away from home or work, and to post video of themselves online.
