Welcome to Universal Student Housing! USH has been connecting hosts with serious and dedicated international students for over eight years. Hosting students is simple and easy! There is no obligation involved and it is a very flexible program--you can choose to just accept students when you are available. Becoming an international student host is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in making new friends, engaging in cultural exchange, and meeting new faces. We work with many colleges, universities, and trade schools throughout California--including UCLA, UCI, USC, Santa Monica College, etc. The average age of our students is between 18-25 years old; our clients are at least 18 years of age; generally our students are Asian, European, and South American; and the average length of a student's stay is about 3 months, with a minimum of a 4-week stay, depending on which school they attend.

Our mission is to provide the best housing service possible to both our international students and our hosts. We act as liaisons between hosts and students, matching international students with host families based on each person's application, needs, and availability. We have successfully placed hundreds of students throughout the years and with the experience we've acquired, dedication we have, and the technology that we utilize, it is rare that we should need to move a student once they've been placed with the host.

USH is so advanced in the field of student housing that we utilize an online database to help us make our placements. Thus, if you become a host, you will be entered into our online database and we will contact you when we have students available for you. The online database system is extremely beneficial to you, the host, as well since it allows you to choose your own students, inform USH of your availability online, track when your payments are mailed, have real-time access to the status of your students, and more.
